Tunas Bangsa Christian School Teachers Strengthen Christ-Centered Learning at Teacher Enrichment Day 2026

On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, educators from all eight areas of Tunas Bangsa Christian School gathered for a time of renewed purpose and professional growth under the theme Teacher Enrichment Day: Christ-Centered Learning: From Biblical Worldview to Transformational Learning.
This professional and spiritual development event was held simultaneously at two strategic locations. Kindergarten and Elementary School teachers gathered at Abbalove Maizonet Green Ville in West Jakarta, while Junior High School and Senior High School teachers met at Abbalove Grand Cakung in East Jakarta.
The event featured Christian education experts Dr. Pingkan Imelda Wuisan, S.IK., M.Pd. and Kurniawati Martha, S.Si., M.Pd., lecturers and researchers from the Faculty of Education at Universitas Pelita Harapan. The program marked an important milestone in strengthening one of the core pillars of the Tunas Bangsa curriculum: Christ-Centered Learning.
Through in-depth presentations, teachers were encouraged to re-examine their worldview and its influence on their teaching practices. Authentic Christian education is not simply about adding Bible verses to worksheets or opening classes with prayer. Rather, it involves transforming the way educators understand and teach every academic discipline through the lens of God’s truth.
The sessions emphasized that no curriculum is truly neutral. Every subject—whether Science, Mathematics, History, Languages, or the Arts—communicates a particular understanding of the world, truth, and humanity. Drawing on the insights of Christian education scholars, the speakers highlighted that teachers in a transformative curriculum are not merely providers of information (inform), but also educators, servants, role models, leaders, and agents of reconciliation who guide students toward the restoration of the image and likeness of God through spiritual formation.

Throughout the event, educators practiced applying the CFRC framework (Creation, Fall, Redemption, Restoration). Through this Biblical Lens approach, each subject is understood not as a field of knowledge separate from God, but as a means of guiding students to recognize the greatness of the Creator and respond through meaningful actions that become a blessing to others.

“The most valuable part was being reminded once again of our identity as Christian teachers. Every subject reflects general revelation and creation. Throughout the learning process, we plant the seeds, while the Holy Spirit brings growth. Ultimately, students experience transformation and discover their own calling in life,” reflected Jessica, one of the participating teachers.

Tunas Bangsa’s Commitment: Fulfilling Building a Mighty Generation

Since its establishment in 1992, Tunas Bangsa Christian School has remained committed to providing a holistic education rooted in the Word of God. Ongoing teacher development through initiatives such as Teacher Enrichment Day demonstrates the school’s dedication to maintaining the quality of learning across all 28 schools spanning eight areas.

By strengthening the integration of Christ-Centered Learning, Deep Learning, and Smart Learning, Tunas Bangsa Christian School is committed to guiding every child—from Nursery, Kindergarten, Elementary School, and Junior High School through Senior High School—to become an individual who excels academically, uses technology wisely, and embodies the six core character values: Thoughtfulness, Honesty, Responsibility, Obedience, Kindness, and Self-Control.

Educators returned to their respective school units with renewed enthusiasm and commitment to making every classroom a place where God’s truth is revealed and students’ hearts are transformed.

At Tunas Bangsa Christian School, we believe that education is not merely about transferring knowledge, but about shaping a generation with Christ-like character, strong competencies, and leadership qualities, ready to become a blessing to the nation and the world (Building a Mighty Generation).
